Summer Fun with a Classical Twist at Great Hearts Summer Camps

As summer fast approaches, families across Arizona are looking forward to Great Hearts Summer Camps, a meaningful and enriching program that is sure to keep their children engaged June 2nd – 27th, 2025. “My daughter loooves Summer Camp,” cheered one parent. With a perfect blend of discovery, creativity, and classical fun, these camps offer a fun and memorable experience for young scholars.

Registration is now open to all Great Hearts Arizona students entering grades 1–5 at a Great Hearts academy. This includes students on the waitlist, Great Hearts Online students, and Great Hearts Christian Academies students.

Summer Camps will be held at all 12 Arizona Archway academies during the month of June, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Maryvale Prep dates and hours may be different from other campuses. Please check with your preferred location to confirm this information.

A girl with her teacherEach week will bring a new adventure. Here’s a look at our exciting 2025 camp themes:

  • Exploration Station: This week, campers will journey through the Arctic, wetlands, coral reefs, rainforests, and mountains. They will explore how animals and plant life survive in these often harsh and dangerous, wild environments.
  • DIY Maker’s Workshop: This week will bring out the inner maker in campers as they master the art of do-it-yourself projects. Campers will learn DIY skills as they experience crafting, creating sensory experiences, garden décor, home goods, and more!
  • Time Trekkers: Campers will be transformed into Time Trekkers as they are transported through the ages. They will experience history firsthand as they explore Prehistoric Times, the Middle Ages, the Roaring 20s, and even the future through exciting and engaging activities.
  • Circus Spectacular: Campers will learn how to spark joy in this vibrant, fun-filled week. Campers will create costumes, perform acts, play circus games, learn magic tricks and more!

They came home every day filled with excitement and a bundle of things they had created. It’s been such a fun time for them! Thank you for making it an amazing camp experience!”

The camp is about learning, but it’s also about community and joy. As Kim Pfeifer-Adams, Co-Curricular Programs Regional Manager, shared, “In Summer Camp, we focus on fun, and we focus on friendship.”

“After working Summer Camp for many years, it continues to be one of my favorite parts of my job,” added Katie Rogers, Campus Coordinator. “It is so rewarding to see campers come back year after year, and to reminisce on past summers with excitement. I hope that all Great Hearts students have a chance to experience a summer program with us.”

Each week of camp is designed to inspire curiosity, build friendships, and make summer unforgettable. The 2025 Great Hearts Summer Camp is where tradition meets imagination, and every camper is invited to explore and create.
