Great Hearts Expands College Credit Offerings for 2025–2026 School Year
Great Hearts Academies July 18, 2025 -
Preparations for the upcoming academic year are already underway across Great Hearts academies. One exciting area of growth for the 2025–2026 school year is the continued expansion of our College Credit programs, including a major update to Dual Enrollment offerings.
Last year marked the launch of Great Hearts Arizona’s new Dual Enrollment program. According to Mac Esau, Executive Director of Upper Schools, this initiative allows scholars to earn college credit while still in high school. “We are pleased to report that nearly 25% of our 10th–12th grade students across our campuses enrolled in at least one Dual Enrollment class,” explained Esau. “This was especially impressive given that Dual Enrollment was only offered in eight of our high school courses in our initial year.”
Building on that success, Great Hearts is announcing the addition of nine new Dual Enrollment courses for the 2025–2026 school year:
- Humane Letters II
- Humane Letters III
- Chemistry
- Economics
- Calculus II
- Spanish III
- French III
- German III
- Greek I
These additions bring the total number of Dual Enrollment courses to 17, significantly expanding access to challenging college-level academics within the classical framework of a Great Hearts education.
In addition to Dual Enrollment, students can also pursue Advanced Placement (AP) and College-Level Examination Program (CLEP) exams as part of their path to college readiness and credit accumulation.
Families of rising 10th–12th graders are encouraged to visit https://arizona.greatheartsamerica.org/collegecredit/ to learn more about the programs and register for Dual Enrollment classes today. Please note that course availability may vary slightly by campus. Families are encouraged to reach out to their College Counselor for specific details related to their academy.
With expanded offerings and growing participation, Great Hearts continues its mission to cultivate the minds and hearts of students while preparing them for success in college and beyond.
