The annual Great Hearts Arizona Summit is a kickoff to a new school year. It is an occasion for all faculty and staff members in our region to come together and behold wonderful things: the first being the impressive array of colleagues with whom we partner in providing a rich Classical education to children; the second, is a reminder of the substance of the work in which we engage at Great Hearts. This year we look back to our beginnings, take stock of our current circumstance, and look forward to the future. Summit should be the beginning-of-the-year event that enhances our appreciation for what Frost pens in “The Tuft of Flowers”, namely that “[We] work together,…Whether [we] work together or apart.”

Q. Why do we hold Summit at this venue?

A.

We have over 2,000 employees. This means we are too big for many spaces and too small for others. Additionally, we work hard to balance the importance of being together to kick off the year and the organizational resources required to host such a large group. We have been lucky to be able to partner with NPHX and their cost is feasible compared to a stadium or similar facility. We are always on the lookout for inexpensive and accommodating facilities. We invite you to share other options with us as you learn of them.
