We will have the following courses available for dual enrollment [1] for the first time for 2026-2027 school year:

Two students working on physics project [3]

Art student with instructor [4]

Music students with teacher conducting [5]

These new courses will be in addition to courses like Humane Letters, math, chemistry, and economics courses that can earn dual credit [1] through Southeastern University (FL) [6] and language courses that can be earned through Arizona Christian University [7] each semester. There are GPA requirements for participation listed at https://arizona.greatheartsamerica.org/collegecredit/ [8].

The deadline to register for fall semester courses is Sunday, August 23rd, 2026, while registration for spring semester courses will close on Wednesday, December 16th, 2026. Students and parents can visit https://arizona.greatheartsamerica.org/collegecredit/ [8] to learn more about dual enrollment and receive the most up to date information.

Please note that grades earned through dual credit [1] become part of the student’s permanent college record/transcript. It is the responsibility of the student to research and determine how their dual credits [1] may or may not transfer to their future 4-year college or university.

Roslyn Fletcher, Director of College Counseling, shared that Great Hearts has college counselors at each prep academy that are eager to support you and your students as you make these decisions.  “I would ask that you reach out to your college counselor either by phone or by email and schedule an in-person appointment to talk about the different options that might be best for your student. It’s the academic history of your student along with your student’s future college goals that are important to discuss when deciding which of these options is the best fit for your student.”
